Associate Psychotherapist
Get to know Rachel.
I’m Rachel, and I believe we all need someone who can journey with us as we look inward. I work with individuals and couples seeking a path of self-discovery and healing. In our sessions together, you can expect a collaborative space that prioritises your autonomy and emphasises your strengths.
I specialize in supporting adults and couples facing challenges related to depression, anxiety, trauma, relationship dynamics, stress, ADHD and disordered eating. I believe in building a supportive alliance with my clients, focusing on their innate strengths to foster personal growth and empowerment. My approach is empathetic and affirming, encouraging clients to take tangible steps towards achieving the fulfilling lives they desire.
As an LGBTQIA+ ally, I take pride in fostering an affirming and inclusive space where all clients feel valued. Drawing from my own experience with ADHD, my practice also embraces neurodiversity and prioritizes your autonomy, needs, and strengths as we embark on a collaborative journey together.
As a counselor, I am deeply influenced by theories of inner child work, the intricate connection between mind and body, and the exploration of personal narratives we construct. In therapy, I integrate diverse modalities to ensure a tailored approach to each clients’ unique challenges and needs. These draw from a range of evidence-backed approaches, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, the Gottman Method for couples, and Schema Therapy.
Beyond my counseling practice, I serve as Head of Talent Development at a multinational organization, coaching and training leaders globally. On a personal note, I enjoy traveling, reading and spending time with my husband and two adopted senior dogs.
