Head of Training and Partnerships, & Counsellor
Get to know Nicodemus.
Hello there! What does healing look like for you? How would you imagine the ripple effects of
healing to look like? On your close ones, and chosen community?
Nic here, and let’s hear your story and who knows, healing might come, and burdens lighter.
With a narrative approach, person-centred collaborativeness, let’s discover how healing opens
up new perspectives, new space, for your self.
We grow up imprinted onto the drama and trauma of our origins. Along life, we experience
further setbacks, stuckness, and scripts that distort our worldview. With grief, crisis, and
confusion, we experience seasons of our life where we begin to consider counselling.
A professional clinical social worker for more than 13 years, I have journeyed via individual, group,
family counselling for couples, caregivers, youths, aged across all demographics. I have
worked in the family, aged, neurodegenerative, and community mental health sectors.
As a mental health counsellor and social worker, I journey and coach alongside humans living
with various mental health conditions, such as anxiety, chronic stress, depression, OCD,
schizophrenia, various personality disorders, etc towards thrivingness. As a grief counsellor, I
journey alongside your grief, loss and perpetual issues. Being a Registered Social Worker, let’s
be in a safe space to journey and understand how the stress-impact of systems, power differentials,
and society has on you. Being a narrative practitioner, let’s journey and view the narratives in your life, and how we can
transport them towards greater congruence within your life.
As a trainer, I am a certified Applied Suicide Interventions Skill Training trainer, and trained many
topics such as psychological first aid, dementia, mental health conditions and have crafted
bespoke modules with Institutes of Higher Learning (IHLs), community grassroots and social
service agencies.
As Head of Training and Partnerships at RANGE Counselling Services, we aim to journey
alongside the ecological systems that strengthen the collective’s mental health. We aim to
partner HR business partners, peer specialists, business leaders, social service agencies,
schools, military, police, uniformed personnel, religious clergy and teachers in co-creating the
mental health, communication culture of your agency.
Out of work, I enjoy being multipassionate and dabble with volunteer barbering, youth-children
camps, amateur photography, arts, writer for Social Dimension, and enjoy spending time with
my close loved ones, sometimes by sending memes.
